November 19, 2018 – Chapin, South Carolina

Love driving through Virginia – rolling hills and lots of trees – and the Blue Ridge Mountains in the background.

Arrived at Cracker Barrel late afternoon in Charlotte, NC – no other rvs here. Nice neighborhood – great for one night.

Tuesday up before the crack of dawn – the trash truck was here emptying the dumpsters at 4 AM and not quiet about it.

Did have a great Cracker Barrel breakfast and then we hit the road.

Great interstate in South Carolina – smooth and straight.

Arrived at Woodsmoke RV Park and got settled in – it is for sale if anyone wants to start a new career and work lots of hours. Small older park with lots of trees and a pond – gravel roads and level sites and we did manage to find SAT.

We cleaned up and Brenda headed over to visit with Caleb – new grandson. IMG_0654Won’t indicate every time we visited the Fulmers – not that exciting – but we did come to Chapin to see family and we did it every time we could.IMG_0587

Also had some maintenance on the generator – haven’t done anything in 4 years – it won’t run if you don’t maintain it. Needed to change the coolant – it was low.

Thursday – Thanksgiving – Brenda went back to Dee’s to get the food ready for dinner – doing Thanksgiving at Cannon’s parents – about 25 people – they do have the space.

What a spread of food – everyone there and it was wonderful – ate too much – and great conversation.

I did help Cannon install a new garage door opener. In the afternoon on Saturday we attended a family member’s Shrimp Boil – watched football and pigged out on shrimp, corn and sausage.IMG_0653

Monday smoking a turkey for Dee. Brenda had shopping to do and then she will go to Dee’s to help out.

Turkey turned out well and we ate part of it at the Fulmers for supper.

Not a lot of pictures because Cannon (police officer) asked Brenda not to post pics of the kids on the internet due to scams.

I will say that it is hard to only see the grandkids every so often, but due to locations of our kids we have to do the best we can. We do miss family!

Tuesday we are off toward Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
