Oh what a drive – desert – desert – desert – and a road so straight I could have put it in cruise control and went back to the kitchen and prepared a sandwich. Brenda was in the bedroom sleeping as she is still feeling bad.
Arrived at Gila Bend KOA about noon. Medium size campground with huge – huge lots. Roads and sites are gravel but they are huge. Full hook ups and no tall trees.
Didn’t do much today except enjoy the sunshine (80 degrees) – both of us feel bad so we are not venturing out too far.
Sunday New Year’s Eve but a whole lot is not going to happen today. Weather is a little bit cooler but dry – real dry with clouds.
Both still feeling bad so not too excited about celebrating.
We did make it up to see the ball drop in NYC – remember we have local East Coast channels so the ball dropped at 10 PM our time.
Monday up without a hangover and ready to do nothing.
Brenda spent part of her day washing clothes – bedding – hoping to heal us.
We did go out and eat at Sophie’s Mexican and it was great and authentic – bad part was they had no alcohol – Margaritas.
It is tough site-seeing when you are sick – miss a lot – have to go back in the future.
Tuesday is off to Tucson, Arizona for 3 months of not moving – the coach that is.
