Oh what a drive down CA 25 – winding and hilly – probably 25 mph the whole 60 miles. Finally made it to some straight road and tried to relax – tough to relax when it is drizzly outside.
Arrived at Orange Grove RV Park about 2 PM. Yes it is in the middle of an orange grove and all the oranges are available to be picked and eaten – Brenda did 3 as soon as we got here – she still feels bad (sick). Nice park with paved roads and large gravel sites – easy pull thrus.
Brenda is still feeling bad – so we relaxed and enjoy each other’s company.
Thursday had to drive Brenda into town to pick up some cough medicine.
I took off after lunch to visit Cesar Chavez National Monument – I was impressed – I remember Cesar on the news as a young teenage – perhaps even studied him in Current Events.
He brought the union to the farm workers of California and did it with non-violence – I remember the boycott of lettuce – which I was no fan of when I was young,
Did get to visit the Temblor Brewing Company – nice building and lots of people on a Thursday afternoon – good beer too.
Our grandsons playing the Last Jedi.
Will miss the oranges.
Friday is off to San Diego, California for Christmas.
