Snow still on the ground this morning but I am not sitting here any longer. Headed out and the interstate is clear – oh good. Made it 339 miles to Laramie, Wyoming.
Drove right thru Colorado and didn’t even stop for a beer – so wanted to but snow is predicted and I didn’t want to be slipping and sliding.
But I do have to say coming down I-70 just before you get to Denver, can be breath –taking – you see the Rockies Mountains in front of you (today snow covered) just awesome. You can see why people like to live and visit here.
All the way to Cheyenne we drove with the Rockies on our left side. I may need to get a Go-Pro to share such beautiful scenery.
Arrived at Laramie KOA by 3 PM. Adjacent to I-80 which is busy but we can handle it for one night. Campground has big sites with gravel roads and gravel sites, cable and wifi. Water is not available at this time because the cold weather is still around – and I thought summer was here.
Didn’t do anything in Laramie but reading the brochures, we need to come back and spend more time here when it is warmer – this is a college town with breweries and we didn’t get to one.
Tuesday gone by 8:30 AM and today is just driving. Had rain and snow along the way but nothing too heavy.
Arrived at Lyman KOA (we had been here last year) and didn’t call ahead. Pulled in and noticed the sign that said “we are not official open but pick your site and pay $25”. Okay I can handle that. There is only one other camper here and its 57 outside so no one is sitting in lawn chairs to visit with.
Pictures as we left Lyman.
Wednesday is off to Salt Lake City to see Tecopa.
