August 26 – Jewel, Iowa

What is really nice about this campground is the large sites and the view of the lake and the cheap price.

We did meet a group of RVers from WIT – Winnebago Itasca Travelers – the RV club for Winnebago. Friendly people and invited us to eat with them. Also reminded us to rejoin the club (we dropped out last year).

Saturday I visited with the WITs for breakfast. Met another couple who also full time and had a good discussion on issues and smoking meat and our travels. They did stop by in the afternoon and visited with us for a while. Campers are friendly people.

Brenda had gone shopping this morning, needed to catch up on supplies. We missed any Iowa breweries as they weren’t too convenient (too far).  Did do a lot of dog walking.IMG_1918 Unusual Fungi!

This was a great park with the lake and space. Everyone had a good time.

Sunday we are off to Forest City Iowa to visit the Winnebago plant.
